1: How is Millennium Place organized and governed?
The Maurice Young Millennium Place Society is governed by a volunteer board of directors comprised of seven elected and six appointed members. Eligible members may stand for nomination for election as a Director. If a nominee is elected by the membership, the nominee will become a director. The following strategic partners may nominate an individual for appointment to the Board of Directors: Resort Municipality of Whistler, Tourism Whistler, Whistler Arts Council, Whistler Blackcomb, Whistler Interfaith Society and Whistler Community Services.
If approved by the membership, the nominee will be appointed to the Board.

A general manager is employed by the Society to oversee its programs and operate the facility.
2: How is Millennium Place funded?
Private and corporate funding, including a donation from the Resort Municipality of Whistler,
was secured to construct the facility. Revenue generated from programming, rentals and services has been supplemented with municipal, private and corporate grants to offset
annual expenses.
3: What is the mission and vision of the Maurice Young Millennium Place Society?
Maurice Young Millennium Place Society is a catalyst to enrich community life
and enhance the resort experience through strategic partnerships, community
engagement and arts programming. The Society operates Millennium Place
as Whistler’s centre for Arts, Culture and Inspiration.

By 2012, Maurice Young Millennium Place will be a leading centre of excellence
for cultural programs in British Columbia.
